Suzanne is a principal in the firm’s Business Transactions and Advice practice.
Suzanne’s main areas of practice are corporate and commercial and financial services (including superannuation).
Suzanne has played a lead role in advising on and managing:
- significant superannuation fund restructuring, including mergers, successor fund transfers, implementing new custodial arrangements and legislative schemes;
- many large transactions, including various forms of capital raisings, privatisations, MBO’s, international divestitures, capital reductions, share and asset sales;
- significant outsourcing contracts across a range of industries, including financial services, transport and wine.
She has particular expertise in, regulatory matters, legislative compliance, corporate governance, APRA and AFSL licensing, AML/CTF, investment management and custodial arrangements, life insurance, trustee liability insurance and other indemnity schemes, technical and complex superannuation and taxation litigation and self-managed superannuation funds.
Suzanne is a member (and former Chair) of the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council of Australia and the Superannuation Committee of the Taxation Institute. She is a Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and a member of The Tax Institute (TTI) and the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
