State Government encourages small and medium-sized businesses to export South Australian goods to international market online
On 19 May 2020, the South Australian government announced its “eCommerce Accelerator Program” or eCAP. The eCAP offers up to $10,000 in grant funding to South Australian businesses with a turnover of between $100,000 to $20 million, in order to develop an online order service to new customers located outside Australia.
The total eCAP funding is currently limited in aggregate to $500,000. To be eligible, a South Australian business must have an ‘export-ready’ good or service that is currently made in South Australia.
Grant funding could be used to purchase online advertising, develop an online order capability, sell products via third party platforms or to train existing staff or hire new staff to facilitate online order services to international consumers.
Online applications open 19 May 2020 and close 2 June 2020.
