Our summer clerkship program provides law students with paid work experience and a fantastic opportunity to learn first-hand what life is like as a lawyer in our business.

Summer clerks work directly with senior lawyers who help develop their legal and commercial expertise. Clerks are exposed to real client instructions across a variety of practice areas, they receive hands-on training and useful feedback.

Clerks are involved in drafting documents, undertaking legal research, attending client meetings, and attending court. They are fully immersed into the firm culture and are included in staff meetings, training sessions and any social functions that take place during the clerkship period.

At the end of the program, we arrange an end of clerkship review meeting, where feedback is provided from both sides. Clerks are actively encouraged to provide suggestions on the program too – we are not afraid to listen.

We are currently seeking applications from penultimate and final year law students for our Adelaide Summer Clerkship Program that will run during November and December 2026 (please ensure you are available during this time before applying). Applications close on 9 September 2026.
