Charity and Community Support

We actively support other community organisations and institutions, and facilitate staff involvement with the community.

We have an active Charity Committee, which develops and oversees these charitable initiatives, and has organised many activities, fundraising events and donation drives to support local charities and not-for-profit organisations which play a vital role in helping South Australians. Some of the organisations we support include:

Hutt Street Centre

Since 1954, the Hutt Street Centre has been a multi-service, non-residential agency providing essential and professional services to help the homeless and vulnerable residents of inner-city Adelaide achieve secure housing and social inclusion.

DMAW Lawyers have been a long-time supporter of the Hutt Street Centre, as part of our commitment to those who are disadvantaged and marginalised. In addition to financial support, many staff have volunteered to serve meals to the Centre’s clients. Visit the website at:

Mercer SuperCycle is a charity event that is helping fund the build of family-style accommodation near two of South Australia’s leading cancer treatment hospitals for patients from the country and their families to stay in while receiving treatment in Adelaide.

This is in conjunction with the Hospital Research Foundation. Previous Supercycles have raised over $1m, and helped build two family-style houses at Woodville for patients attending the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The focus is now moving to building similar accommodation near the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The firm has been associated with the Supercycle event from its inception. One of the firm’s Principals is a foundation committee member of SuperCycle Inc. and a rider in past events. Visit the website at:
