Annabel is a senior associate in DMAW Lawyers’ disputes practice, providing practical, commercially focused advice across a wide range of litigious and non-litigious commercial matters.

She supports our clients in resolving complex disputes with an emphasis on achieving efficient, strategic outcomes.

Annabel’s construction law experience extends to acting in disputes involving large-scale infrastructure projects. She also assists clients in protecting and resolving disputes about their intellectual property.

In the bankruptcy and insolvency space, Annabel regularly advises individuals and companies in financial distress as well as insolvency practitioners.

Key significant disputes that Annabel has acted in include:

  • a dispute involving the construction and performance of a significant wastewater treatment plant at a winery;
  • a claim brought by the liquidator of an insolvent company against its former directors, tax advisors and third parties in receipt of company funds to which they were not entitled;
  • a claim against the supplier of infected walnut trees which spread a disease throughout our client’s commercial walnut groves; and
  • a shareholder oppression case (in the Supreme Court of Victoria) involving a public unlisted biotech company and its directors and shareholders.

Annabel was recognised in the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia for her work in Insolvency and Reorganisation Law and Litigation. Annabel has been recognised by Best Lawyers since 2026.
