Tasha Naige

Principal

Tasha is a principal in the firm’s transactions team.

She has over 15 years’ experience advising clients across an extensive array of corporate and commercial law matters. Her expertise primarily lies in commercial transactions, contract drafting and review and advisory services, specifically in the areas of superannuation and financial services, governance and regulatory compliance.

Tasha assists clients with acquisitions, sales of businesses, assets and companies, restructures, legal due diligence and other substantial projects. She has particular experience advising on transaction structuring for trusts and tax planning purposes.

Tasha is well-versed in drafting and reviewing both standard and complex legal documents, ranging from trust deeds and constitutions to shareholder and unitholder agreements, sale and purchase agreements, supply terms, outsourcing agreements, IT agreements and procurement documents. She acts for SME, large corporate and not-for-profit clients and has assisted in‑house teams whilst on secondment.

Tasha has special expertise advising clients in highly regulated industries or with complex structures, such as superannuation funds, SMSFs, trusts and not‑for‑profits. She has extensive experience advising on defined benefit arrangements. She has appeared as solicitor and counsel in several trust deed amendment cases before the Supreme Court of South Australia, representing beneficiaries.

Tasha provides governance and regulatory advice on matters such as:

  • trustee and directors’ duties;
  • financial services licensing and regulation; and
  • cyber security and privacy laws.

In addition, Tasha provides advice in areas such as superannuation guarantee, capital gains tax, stamp duty and land tax.

Beyond her legal practice, Tasha is a director of Women in Super, a not-for-profit organisation, and chairs the Women in Super SA committee.

Tasha is a member of the Cyber Alliance Group – a collaboration between DMAW Lawyers, Comunet and Digital Trace Australia to provide comprehensive cyber security advice and services to business.
