DMAW Lawyers attends AHA SA Women in Hotels Conference

On behalf of DMAW Lawyers, Abby-Rose Hill and Irini Kourakis were pleased to attend the 2025 AHA SA Women in Hotels Conference, an event that brought together leaders and professionals from across the hospitality industry to share insights, celebrate achievements and discuss future opportunities.

Throughout the day, two key themes emerged:

  • Positive workplace culture: a driver of success that helps attract and retain talent, supports growth and development, and enables teams to achieve common goals.

  • The growing role of AI: exploring how technology is shaping the future of hotels, venues and restaurants, and how businesses can adapt to remain visible and competitive.

The program also featured the "Women in Hotels Hall of Fame", which has recognised industry leaders since 2005. This year’s inductee was Leah Foster, CFO of Palmer Hospitality Group.

Attendees also heard from Lucy Allon and Tawnya Bahr of Straight to the Source, who highlighted South Australia’s diverse local produce and the benefits of showcasing these producers through venue menus.

The conference offered valuable perspectives on leadership, culture and innovation, and provided a great opportunity to connect with others in the hospitality industry.
