FY 22-23 DMAW Lawyers pro bono contribution

We strongly believe in access to justice and are proud to have contributed significant pro bono legal work in the past financial year.

In FY 22-23, we worked together to provide over 750 hours of pro bono work on commercial matters which have a social impact, or assisting persons who otherwise may be unable to afford independent legal advice.

We are proud proponents of justice for all and believe in using our legal knowledge to serve and give a voice to those who would otherwise face challenges and injustices without legal representation.

National pro bono target

We are a proud signatory to the National Pro Bono Target – this means that each of our lawyers is committed to dedicating at least 35 hours to pro bono legal services every year.

We are also proud supporters of JusticeNet, the South Australian pro bono clearing house through which we provide pro bono legal assistance on range of matters to assist vulnerable and disadvantaged South Australians

Pro bono committee

We have a pro bono committee, which facilitates the participation of our lawyers at all levels and maximises the impact of our pro bono efforts.

In addition driving our contribution to pro bono matters, in FY 22-23 our pro bono committee were pleased to have facilitated our participation in Walk For Justice 2023, partnering with the Entrepreneur and Venture Advice Clinic and more.
