Cyber risks in the supply chain – Legal, IT & AI strategies for protection – Association of Corporate Counsel event
DMAW Lawyers were pleased to host Association of Corporate Counsel Australia (SA division) members and prospective members at our recent CPD event "Cyber risks in the supply chain – Legal, IT & AI strategies for protection".
At our event facilitated by Tasha Naige, Paul Dugan and Peter Kupniewski presented as part of an expert panel with Alexei Fey (Comunet) and Mar Noordin (Digital Trace Australia), on how businesses can stay ahead of cyber threats by understanding their supply chain risk profile, particularly in areas like invoice fraud and procurement.
Designed specifically for our audience of in-house practitioners, the session explored how to implement effective contractual and policy controls, strengthen technical defences and enhance collaboration between Legal and IT teams to mitigate risk.
The session also touched on Artificial Intelligence (AI) services as a growing part of the supply chain, unpacking key risks, management strategies and the opportunities AI presents, including its potential role in cyber risk mitigation.
Thank you to our guests for joining us and helping make the event a success. We appreciate your time and support, and hope you left with a better understanding of how legal, IT and governance teams can work together to stay ahead of emerging threats.
