DMAW Lawyers’ Paul Dugan recently wrote an opinion in InDaily highlighting the importance of strong cyber security protocols for businesses. With the release of the Commonwealth’s inaugural Australian Data Strategy and Action Plan late last year, we expect to see increased regulation in this area making it important for businesses to ensure they carefully assess and put in place the necessary precautions to properly manage their data protection risks.
