Symal Group Limited aquires Davison Earthmovers

DMAW Lawyers congratulates our clients Paul and Anna Davison on completion of the sale of a majority equity interest in South Australian-based civil construction business Davison Earthmovers to Symal Group Limited. The core deal team consisted of Daniel Jenkinson, Chris Floreani, Abby-Rose Hill and Laura Martin. We were pleased to work alongside our clients’ expert accounting team Neil Oakes and Tyson Smith from Perks Accountants & Wealth Advisers to complete the deal.

The sale was reported by The Advertiser (paywall access), highlighting Davison Earthmovers’s 39-year operating history and strong local brand in strengthening Symal’s position to expand its footprint in South Australia’s civil construction industry.

The acquisition provides Symal with immediate entry, scale and established relationships to accelerate its participation in major projects, including road and rail infrastructure, defence, building and facilities, and renewable energy initiatives.

Paul Davison, managing director of the Davison Earthmovers business, is to retain a 20% stake and will continue to lead the business with existing management and workforce.
