5 years, 5 highlights with Abby-Rose Hill
To celebrate her five year service anniversary, we asked Abby to share five highlights that have made her time at the firm meaningful.
1. Milestone matters
Working in the transactions practice has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to develop my skills in corporate and commercial law while working alongside a talented team and learning from experienced professionals. A highlight was assisting a major holiday parks owner and operator with a complex transaction late last year.
2. Career progression
My career at the firm has progressed from office services to administrative assistant, law clerk, law graduate, and now lawyer, with each role offering new challenges and opportunities for growth. I’m grateful for the firm’s commitment to supporting my development and helping me advance through all of these stages in my legal career.
3. Fee earners’ conference
The most recent biannual fee earners conference was a highlight for me, offering a great opportunity for professional development, knowledge sharing and connecting with colleagues in a casual and collaborative setting.
4. Professional development
I had the opportunity to spend two weeks at Swaab in Sydney as part of the 2024 Meritas lawyer exchange, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. Swaab’s expertise and support provided a great environment for enhancing my legal skills and advancing my professional development.
5. Pro bono committee
As a member of the Pro Bono Committee at DMAW Lawyers, I have assisted with legal initiatives that support vulnerable individuals and community groups. It is rewarding to give back through meaningful pro bono work.
