Boardroom Lunch with the Regulator: Insights and Updates from the Tax Practitioners Board

DMAW Lawyers recently hosted a group of Adelaide's leading tax professionals for an engaging session with Peter de Cure, Chair of the Tax Practitioners Board.

At this session, facilitated by principal Tasha Naige, Peter de Cure offered insights into the role of the Board and the significant changes to the Tax Agent Services legislation taking effect this year. He explained the Board's practical approach and its expectations of tax practitioners.

Amidst the backdrop of recent investigations, parliamentary inquiries, and Treasury reviews scrutinising the sector, understanding these expectations has never been more important.

Guests enjoyed lunch in our boardroom overlooking the Adelaide CBD and an afternoon of inquisitive conversation about the evolving regulatory environment, how to best prepare to meet the new requirements and contribute positively to the future of tax in Adelaide.

DMAW Lawyers would like to thank Peter for taking the time to share his unique and valuable insights with the group.

Thank you also to our esteemed guests for their interest and active participation on the day.
