DMAW Lawyers attend 2023 Meritas ANZ Regional Meeting

Tom Dachs, Seva Surmei, Nicole Mead and Callum Ritchie were pleased to attend the 2023 Meritas ANZ Regional Meeting hosted by Madgwicks Lawyers in Melbourne.

As Meritas' exclusive member of South Australia we are proud to have represented our state at the annual meeting to deepen connections with our Meritas ANZ partner firms, discuss important industry issues, collaborate on ideas for practice management and how the Meritas ANZ firms can continue to support each other and build value for our clients.

The schedule featured two days of expert sessions on the topics of strategy and leadership with a focus on AI in the law and Gen X in the workplace.

Some highlights from the expert sessions were:

• Mark Rigotti, CEO of AICD with some key lessons around leadership
• Yaron Finkelstein, founder of Society Advisory with a great non-lawyer perspective on authenticity and some current political discussion
• The Meritas ANZ Emerging Leaders presentation on "How mid-level lawyers can get to the next step in their career"

Each day of sessions was followed by an opportunity to wine and dine in some of Melbourne's best restaurants.

To celebrate the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees were also treated to a well-earned wine tour in the stunning Mornington Peninsula.
