DMAW Lawyers present to Meritas ANZ Emerging Leaders network
Nicole Mead, Lachlan Chuong and Stephanie Maurangi recently presented to the Meritas ANZ Emerging Leaders network regarding DMAW Lawyer’s pro bono program, providing some practical ideas for young lawyers for purposeful pro-bono participation.
Our presenters discussed the business case for pro bono, the training and personal career development opportunities and some of the key outcomes and findings from our pro-bono program to date, leading to some insightful discussion from all participants.
Pro bono
As lawyers, we are dedicated to improving access to justice in our community through voluntary pro bono work. We believe in using our talents to serve and give a voice to those who would otherwise face challenges and injustices without legal representation. We have a pro bono committee, which facilitates the participation of our lawyers at all levels and maximises the impact of our pro bono efforts.
