Business leaders' boardroom luncheon with Besa Deda

Last week, DMAW Lawyers hosted a group of business leaders for an insightful session with Besa Deda, Chief Economist, Westpac Business Bank.

Besa is also the Chief Economist of St.George Bank, Bank of Melbourne, BankSA and BT, which are other businesses within the Westpac Group. When appointed to the role of Chief Economist some years ago, Besa was the first female Chief Economist of an Australian bank. Besa manages a team of economists, regularly presents to clients and often appears in the media providing industry commentary.

At this session, facilitated by our Chief Executive Officer, Bernice Witkowski, guests enjoyed lunch in our boardroom overlooking the Adelaide CBD and an interactive presentation from Besa who provided detailed insight into the current state of the economy, touching on interest rates, inflation, labour and unemployment.
